In the Spring of 2005, twelve students set out to tell the City of San Francisco that their most beloved landmark was the foremost destination for suicide in the world. With a limited budget and a website, a three week blitz of guerilla style advertising culminated in an art and music show featuring works by artists affected by the suicide of a loved one.
The result was the largest donation in the history of the San Francisco Suicide Prevention.

I personally wrote over 250 suicide-themed haiku. They were distributed among the group and written in chalk, alongside a url to a discussion on the possibility of an unsighly barrier on the bridge, in every neighborhood in the city.
On Memorial Day hundreds of ballons twisted into the shape of people were released from atop Macy's on to the busiest shopping area in San Francisco. Many of us had spent the previous night readying these balloons for release.
Attached to each balloon was an actual suicide note written prior to a San Francisco suicide. Only our url was added.
